Crazy Egg “Confetti”

19 06 2007

Interesting concept I read about this morning over at TechCrunch. Confetti is an interesting tool by Crazy Egg that shows you the popularity of clicks to external sites from your website using a visual aid. It overlays your website, showing you colored dots for different types of visitors that you preset yourself such as how long it took before they clicked, what operating system the visitor was using, even to their window size. This sounds a little strange to me, but it even shows where visitors clicked where there wasn’t a click, probably because they were expecting one. You can even use it to track how other referrals behave, to help you come to a conclusion on what those StumbleUpon or Digg users click on, if anything. The tool has a free, basic version that tracks up to 5,000 clicks on 4 different pages, and other plans ranging from 10,000 clicks on 8 pages for $9 a month right up to 250,000 clicks on 100 different pages.

According to TechCrunch, the Orange County based company may be in acquisition talks.
